Cambridge, Ontario:

Manulife’s Executives gathered at the renowned five-star Langdon Hall Country House to see Magician Sam Pearce…

Year after year, Langdon Hall has been voted as one of Canada’s finest event venues and restaurants. When you arrive at the grand country estate, it’s clear why. The quality, service, and atmosphere are exceptional. It’s rare to find this level of quality anywhere; their long list of awards proves that.

It’s the perfect venue when your guest’s experience is your top priority. And that’s exactly what Manulife Financial was looking for when they used the estate to host a multi-day conference for 40 of their high-level executives and VIP guests.

The conference was hosted to bring together executives to discuss business, and Manulife didn’t want it to be dull. Throughout the conference, the team took breaks (including an outrageously fun axe throwing competition) to keep everyone engaged and energized throughout. It all led up to the dinner and show on the final night of the conference.

Once the last meeting was finished and guests moved to another area of the country estate, Sam and his AV technician began transforming Langdon Hall’s Orchard Room into a dinner theatre. Sam’s team supplied absolutely everything needed for the show: theatrical lighting, stage curtains, and a crystal-clear sound system. Sam’s all-inclusive saved both time and money, allowing the conference planner to spend time with their guests, instead of worrying about the event logistics.

Sam and his technician set-up and tested all the equipment and were on standby when Manulife’s guests returned to the room. Following a five-course plated dinner, it was showtime.

From the moment the audience noticed Sam’s crazy pants, he had them engaged and on the edge of their seat. Throughout the 60-minute performance, Sam invited guests on stage, and they quickly became the stars of the show!

The act was just as funny as it was amazing. Completely clean, too. Sam never resorts to off-colour humour to get a laugh. Instead, he uses visual gags, clever puns, and seriously silly situational humor to get your guests involved and rolling in the aisles with laughter.
